October 22, 1920: "Henry Michael, employee of the Aagard Lumber Company, on upper Gales Creek, was instantly killed by a Gales Creek and Wilson river logging train at 4:55 Saturday afternoon.
He was walking on the track to the cookhouse for supper and, being deaf, did not hear the train. He was 50 years old and had worked for the company 2 1/2 months. He is believed to have come from Everett, Wash., but nothing concerning his home or relatives could be found in his belongings. Coroner Limber brought the body to Hillsboro and is endeavoring to locate relatives." (Beaverton Times)
