LAUREL LUMBER & TIMBER COMPANY
Coyote Creek
August 29, 1932: "The Laurel Lumber and Timber company's saw and planing mill, located on Coyote creek about 10 miles southeast of Glendale, together with considerable fir timber was entirely destroyed by a fire early Friday morning that had presumably started in the boiler room. A quantity of pine lumber was saved.
Black and Mains of Eugene are said to be owners of the mill plant which has been under lease the past year to Ralph Garroutte. A planer had been recently installed. About ten men were employed. The loss is estimated at nearly $10,000 with no insurance." (The News-Review)
