November 14, 1929: "The Wernich-Finley Lumber company mill will not be reopened and plans are now under way for its sale, D. D. Hall of Portland has announced.
Hall appointed permanent receiver by the federal court last week. It was expected that the mill would be operated by the creditors that the best interests of the creditors that the concern be liquidated as soon as possible.
The mill resumed operations last spring following the organization of the Wernich-Finley Lumber company.
It is understood the company's liabilities are approximately $65,000." (The Klamath Herald)
