July 18, 1930: “Fire destroyed the Eugene Box company plant at Eugene, causing damage estimated at $15,000. The spread of flames to adjoining lumber yards was prevented by firemen after an eight-hour fight.” (The New Era)
October 3, 1930: “The Eugene box factory, burned in July, will be rebuilt as soon as a suitable site has been obtained. The plant when rebuilt will be three times as large as the one destroyed.” (The New Era)
