September 1910: "August 24, the camps of the Sorensen Logging Co., Svensen, Ore., were damaged to the extent of about $30,000, by fire. The camp houses, blacksmith shop, tools, and stored equipment were consumed. About two miles of railroad trestle was also burned. A crew of 150 men is re-constructing the camp and railroad, and operations will be resumed about the 26th of September." (The Timberman)
January 17, 1918: “The Bear Creek Logging company has purchased seven miles of railroad, two locomotives, cars, logging engines and complete logging equipment of the Sorensen Logging company, near Svensen.” (The Glendale News)
