March 24, 1916: "Mrs. Stobb, former cook at Chambers' mill, and her little daughter Myrtle have moved to Klamath Falls, where they have rooms with Mrs. Jim Cunningham." & "Mr. Davis, of Chambers' mill, is exulting because of a new boy at his house." (The Evening Herald)
June 22, 1916: "A suit was filed in the circuit court today for the recovery of sawmill ------- valued at $1,123.94 and $756 damages, -. T. Summers, the plaintiff alleging these to be due him from A. R. Chambers, who operates a sawmill near Dairy. The suit was filed by Attorney J. C. Rutenic.
In his complaint, Summers alleges that Chambers took the equipment from a mill at Chiloquin. In removing the equipment, Summers alleges that Chambers so wrecked the plant that special millwright work and much new woodwork had to be paid for, and he asks $250 special damages, In addition to asking the possession of the machinery, he asks $500 general damages as a result of the plant being rendered useless in its present dismantled state." August 15, 1917: "J.M. Robins, who operates the old Chambers mill near Olene, has been charged with steeling logging tools from Presley Thomas, a contractor working for him.

June 12, 1918: "A forest fire which started in the sawdust of the old Chambers mill near Dairy on Sunday has burned over a considerable timber area and seriously menaced the valuable timber belt in that district before being brought under control according to word brought in by Jim Driscoll who has returned from a business trip in that section.
The fire spread into the Swan Lake district Monday and threatened the destruction of the new school house there. The combined forces of the DeArmond and Weston mills and the John Robin mill succeeded in getting the flames under control before serious loss of timber was suffered." (The Evening Herald)
