Continued from: Walter's & Son Sawmill
December 9, 1907: "The Elmira Lumber Company filed articles of incorporation today with the county clerk. The incorporators are F. C. Walters, C. A. Dalzell and J. Stevenson, and the capital stock is $30,000, divided into 300 shares of the par value of $100 each.
The new company will operate the Walters sawmill at Elmira, Mr. Dalzell, who is from Portland, having purchased an interest in the plant.
The objects of the corporation, as set forth in the articles, are as follows:
To buy, sell and own timber and timber lands; to buy, build, own, sell and operate sawmills, shingle and lath mills; to manufacture, buy and sell lumber; to own, manage and operating logging camps, to open logging streams; to manufacture, buy and sell all kinds of building material, tools, hardware and general merchandise; finally, in general, to do whatever may be convenient or necessary to carry on such business matters and pursuits and to do all things necessary for the accomplishment of the objects hereinbefore specified." January 18, 1912: "In order better to carry on the increased lumber operations which it is planning the Elmira Lumber Company has increased its capital stock from $50,000 to $100,000, with F. C. Walters, Elmira; A. H. and S. A. Buck, Monroe, Wash., and H. O. Seiffert, of the Seiffert Lumber Company, Davenport, Ia., as incorporators. Messrs. Buck own large timber holdings in the western part of Lane County. This company is installing a mill of 20,000 daily capacity at Noti Pass." (Morning Oregonian)
August 27, 1915: “ The Elmira Lumber Co. started up their planer Tuesday with ten men at work. They expect to continue in operation for a month or more and will ship their output to Eugene and other points in the valley.” (The West)
