MILLER LUMBER COMPANY
Bend
July 30, 1913: "In March this year the Miller Lumber Company, of which H. A. Miller is president, began operating a planer mill of 20,000 feet daily capacity.
It is located on the railway near the end of the line, and its output is quickly and cheaply loaded on cars to be shipped East. The machinery used is first class and the work is high grade. In connection with the planer mill, which is to be kept running the year round, there are some 15 men employed. The plant is operated by electricity, 35 horsepower being used." (The Bend Bulletin)
