February 15, 1890: “Articles of a new corporation were filed yesterday in the office of the county clerk. The incorporators are Wm. Dougherty, Geo. W. Blodgett, S. Glasson. The capital stock is $20,000 divided into twenty shares. The name is the Klaskanine Tramway and Lumber company. They will build a tramway designed especially for carrying logs from some point near the headwaters of the Klaskanine river to Olney, which will be its western terminus. Its principal place of business and headquarters will be at Olney.” (The Morning Astorian)
