July 6, 1929: "The George Jantzer Lumber Company sawmill, located at Azalea, about 11 miles from this city, shut down Tuesday for about a two weeks layoff. The owner, George Jantzer, together with Mrs. Jantzer and children, left here Wednesday for a 10 days combined business and pleasure trip by automobile. They intend to visit at various cities north of here, including Portland, Tacoma, Seattle and Vancouver, B.C." (The News-Review)
