TWIN LUMBER COMPANY
Vernonia
October 6, 1922: “Twin Lumber Co. has a 25,000 capacity sawmill located at Vernonia. This plant was established about a year ago and is controlled by A. J. Kronert, a well known Portland lumberman. The Twin Lumber Co. sells its product locally, and furnished much of the material for the completion of the Portland, Astoria & Pacific Railroad.” (Vernonia Eagle)
November 3, 1922: “The Twin Lumber Co. is another good asset for Vernonia. Practically every building in the city is a monumental testimony to a big institution running every day within the city limits. This mill is a busy place, cutting about 20,000 feet per day and giving employment to a good many substantial families.” (Vernonia Eagle)
