RHODES SAWMILL
McKay Creek
November 15, 1905: "Allen Rhodes, of Upper McKay creek, on whose land the Rhodes sawmill is located, is in the city today to attend the double wedding of his daughter and stepdaughter and to take back a load of supplies for winter. The Rhodes sawmill is now running every day, the capacity of the mill being about 6000 feet per day. Market for most of the lumber is found in the vicinity of the mill. Little of it is hauled to this city although considerable has been sent to Pilot Rock." (Eagle Valley News)
