November 1, 1946: "Merger of the Willamette National Lumber company, Salem, the Corvallis Lumber company, and the Lumber Management Corporation, Portland, was disclosed here (Albany) today with the filing of articles of agreement.
The new company, capitalized at $1,800,500, will be known as the Willamette National Lumber company and be headed by directors of that concern. All are Portlanders.

April 24, 1950: "The Willamette National Lumber company here has an electric generating unit under construction that will use sawdust for steam production. The $100,000 project is part of a complete utilization program of the company." (Herald and News)
July 18, 1953: "At Willamette National, Resident Manager Mel Cutler has announced that repairs and improvements undertaken this week will continue beyond Monday, July 20, and that the sawmill will remain closed until further notice. He said employees will be given advance notice when to report back." (Capital Journal)
