May 6, 1924: "H. F. and Jack Chapman who were with the K. and C. Lumber company of Topsy spent the weekend in Worden and vicinity." (The Klamath News)
August 19, 1925: "The entire season's output of the K. & C. Lumber company near Dorris is stated to have been sold to the Associated Lumber and Box company at Dorris. The cut this year will amount to between five and six million feet. Intentions are to operate the mill about 40 or 45 days longer. The K. & C. Lumber company is owned by C. H. Kesterson, father of I. E. Kesterson of the Topsy Lumber company. It is managed by Henry Croisant and Chester Tompkins." (The Evening Herald)
