OREGON EXPORT LUMBER COMPANY
Coos Bay
August 29, 1920: "After having been closed because of log and car shortage the Oregon Export company mill near Marshfield will begin operations again next Monday." (The Oregon Daily Journal)
November 23, 1922: "Plans are being made to revive the Oregon Export mill about the first of the month, with a crew of 35 men, according to the present estimate of help needed. The agreement is to be signed by the Western White Cedar company and by Receiver W. C. Parker of the Oregon Export Lumber company.
The White Cedar company has been considering milling for a number of years, and during the war discussed seriously the proposition of constructing a mill on Coos bay. The opportunity to obtain the use of the Oregon Export company mill supplies this intention on the part of the company.
The Oregon Export mill closed down about the middle of last July and since that time has been in the hands of the receiver, W. C. Parker, who obtained an order from the court to lease the mill." (Southern Coos County American)
