May 5, 1911: “The first carload of machinery for the new sawmill plant of the Rose Lumber company has arrived and is being rushed from here by freighters. The Rose Lumber company has 60 acres of saw timber near Coburg, which will be manufactured into railroad ties and yard stock during the summer. It is putting in a mill with a daily capacity of 30,000 feet.” (The Drain Nonpareil)
