January 26, 1934: "Harold Dick got his foot crushed by a rolling log Monday morning while loading logs on a truck for the Standley Brothers mill. He was taken to Roseburg at once where Dr. Stewart took an X-ray of the injured foot and taped it up. It cannot be determined yet whether there are ant bones broken." (The News-Review)
