September 20, 1917: "Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kline moved to the Wilson saw mill north of Sisters, Monday. Mr. Kline is going to work in the mill and Mrs. Kline will cook for the mill crew." (The Bend Bulletin)
September 20, 1917: "The Wilson saw mill near here (Sisters) is now running. The entire cut of the mill has been contracted for and it is the intention of the manager, J. O. Wilson, to run steadily until the snow flies if men can be found to work. The mill has had to shut down several times during the season on account of the labor situation." (The Bend Bulletin)
