August 30, 1920: "With a delegation of 150 citizens of Eugene, and a total of about 3500 persons from Corvallis, Albany and the surrounding community, the town of Glenbrook celebrated last Wednesday the opening of the new mill of the Alsea River Lumber Co.
The people of Glenbrook and employes of the mill supplied a barbecue lunch and programme for the afternoon and evening.
The mill has a capacity of 125,000 feet of lumber a day, on and eight hour shift and is valued at $250,000. The plant is expected to be in operation to full capacity in about two weeks." (The Evening Herald)

July 31, 1921: "Henry Fischer has been appointed receiver for the Alsea River Lumber company, a $1,500,000 concern, with debts amounting to $150.000." (The Oregon Daily Journal)
July 5, 1923: “The million-dollar sawmill built three years ago by the Alsea River Lumber company of Eugene at Glenbrook, in Benton county, and which has never been operated on account of financial difficulties, will be started up within the next few weeks, according to Henry Fischer, receiver.” (The Drain Enterprise)
