McLAUGHLIN & WILLIAMS SAWMILL
August 18, 1910: "John Williams, a sawmill man of Wallowa, was killed Tuesday while cutting down a tree for saw logs. He was struck by a limb from a dead tamarack which was struck by the tree he was falling. Mr. Williams was one of the firm of McLaughlin & Williams who operate a saw mill on Bear creek near Wallowa. He was about 45 years old and leaves a wife and four children." (Wallowa County Chieftain)
