January 1918: "George Christy, of Grants Pass, is building a 30,000 capacity mill about seven miles from Klamath Falls. The mill will be ready for operation in April. Mr. Christy is operating a sawmill near Grants Pass." (The Timberman, Vol. 19)
April 4, 1919: "George Christy, a Klamath County saw mill operator, left this morning for Grants Pass for a brief visit." (The Evening Herald)
September 14, 1920: "Harold Christy, brother of George Christy of the Christy mill at Long lake, met with an accident late yesterday when he got his left hand into a saw at the mill and it was badly mangled before the saw could be stopped.
The patient was brought to the Warren Hunt hospital where medical attention was given the injured member and it is expected that he will recover full use of the hand." (The Evening Herald)

July 14, 1921: "George Christy, owner of the Christy Lumber company, whose mill near Long Lake was destroyed Monday afternoon, said today he probably would rebuild at once. The company is said to have orders for immediate delivery amounting to $15,000. Loss from the fire was $30,000. Seven hundred thousand feet of lumber in the yard was saved." July 28, 1921: “Klamath Falls.---Fire late Friday afternoon destroyed the Christy sawmill, west of town, with a loss of $70,000. The fire spread to the timber and was still burning Saturday night, with a crew of fire fighters endeavoring to check it progress.” (Silver Lake Leader and Lake County Tribune)
