GORDON-WINKS MILL
Estacada
July 6, 1916: "One of the busiest spots in this vicinity and one which few people are aware of, is the Gordon-Winks Mill, on the Saling property, between Lower Garfield and Estacada.
The Gordon-Wink mill was formerly located at Alspaugh, a few months ago moved onto the Saling place, where a large cutting of ties is being handled. After completing their present cutting, the operators are considering milling much of the nearby timber." (Eastern Clackamas News)

August 3, 1916: "Park and Closner of Estacada last week bought out the interest of John Wink, in the Gordon-Wink mill, which is now operating on the C. C. Saling property, near Estacada.
For the summer, Will Closner will give his attention to the cutting of ties at the mill, While his partner, Jas. Park will conduct the Estacada business.
The combined forces of Will Closner and Hal Gordon, should result in added output for the mill, as both are experienced men in the business." (Eastern Clackamas News)
