March 1, 1892: "We are informed that Abbott and Hanson, of the Wagner Creek saw-mill, have dissolved partnership." (Talent News)
July 1, 1892: "Wm. Abbott is now full proprietor of the Wagner Creek saw mill having bought out John Hanson. He has about 200,000 feet of excellent lumber in the yard." (Talent News)
September 1, 1892: "Wm. Abbott desires, through the News, to thank the people of this vicinity for their timely and generous assistance in defending his property from the forest fire that was raging about his mill on Saturday evening last." (Talent News)
September 1, 1892: "On Sunday night last, the fire that is raging on upper Wagner Creek got uncomfortably near Wm. Abbott's saw mill and Anderson's quartz mill and about forty people turned out to check it. It was noticed, however, that the party or parties who set out the fire were conspicuous by their absence."
