PORTSMOUTH LUMBER COMPANY
May 25, 1903: "The Portsmouth Lumber Company, which purchased the sawmill plat of Cone Bros., will shortly double its capacity, which is now 50,000 feet per day. For this increase a considerable extent of water front has been secured south of the present plant, which will be used for new yards and building. The company has ample means to erect as large a plant as it may desire to operate. It has a large local and shipping trade." (Morning Oregonian)
