May 2, 1941: "A burner recently installed at the Rogue River Box company which has a capacity of 20,000 feet of mill refuse per day cost in the neighborhood of $1375 and $1500. Specifications of this burner, which has been approved by the state fire office, were studied in detail by the mill owners. May 24, 1951: "Two dry kilns, to accommodate 77,000 board feet of lumber, will be constructed at the Rogue River Box company here, it was revealed this week. The kilns will be used for drying lumber used for box manufacture and for custom work, company officials said.

April 30, 1952: "The 100 workers at the Rogue River Box Company plant here walked out Tuesday morning as their union, the CIO International Woodworkers, struck over contract demands. Then at noon they walked back.
