ESTACADA WOOD MANUFACTURING CO.
Estacada
February 9, 1905: "The Estacada Wood Manufacturing Company has already been at work entering into agreements with the various sawmill concerns around here for material for their new wood factory. Some large orders have been placed with the mills, and still more orders will follow. The factory, when completed and running under full capacity, will require about 25,000 feet a day. This will give the sawmills something to do more than they have had, and the hauling will give employment to a number of men with teams. Work on the factory is to be pushed along to completion, and it will not be long before the factory whistle will be heard six times a day. It will be heard none to soon." (The Estacada News)
