December 29, 1900: "The Trent Lumber Co. will move their mill to Wendling where they have bought a millsite." (Daily Eugene Guard)
April 18, 1901: "The Trent Lumber Company, which has been operating a small sawmill at Trent, is building a new mill of large capacity near Marcola, in the Mohawk country. The new plant will have a capacity of 50,000 feet per day. The company owns large tracts of available timber land. The mill will be ready for operation some time in the Summer." (Morning Oregonian)
