DOUGLASS MILLS
Clackamas County
January 15, 1925: "Chas Kitching, H. S. Jones and Wm. Gilgan are cutting logs for Douglass Mills." (Eastern Clackamas News)
December 17, 1925: "Remarkable as it may seem, Ed Douglass' sawmill commenced operation again last week, just a day or two over a month from the time it was entirely consumed by fire, Nov. 5. On November 13, work was commenced on rebuilding and everything was completed and workmen began to saw on December 9. This was quick work indeed and was accomplished because Mr. Douglass' many friends came to his rescue and contributed days work.
He feels very grateful for the assistance rendered, and wishes publicly to express his sincere and heartfelt thanks to the friends who so generously 'helped him out." (Eastern Clackamas News)
