SHERMAN BROTHERS
two miles west of Warren
March 22, 1918: "C. W. and H. A. Sherman, who compose the firm of Sherman Brothers, are building a new sawmill about two miles west of Warren, and they contemplate having their mill ready for operation within the next sixty days. The firm has secured a tract of 4,000,000 feet of standing timber from Washington Muckle and Miss Amy George and have moved their logging equipment to the timber. The mill they are building will have a capacity of 15,000 15,000 feet per day, and when both the logging operations and mill are running they will employ 18 or 20 men. The lumber will be hauled to Warren and from there shipped by rail." (St. Helens Mist)
