MOON LUMBER COMPANY
Ashland
April 4, 1934: "The Moon lumber mill, two miles east of Ashland, will be operated this summer, it was revealed today. At the present time a small crew of men are at work repairing the plant and plans call for opening of operations on or about April 15.
The mill will employ about 50 men steadily for a period of six or seven months. the plant will be operated on a one-shift basis, it is understood.
The Moon mill operated last summer, providing work for a large number of Ashland residents. It is possible that production will be stepped up this year and that even more men may be employed." (Medford Mail Tribune)
