December 3, 1959: "The Delah Timber Products company has recently finished the installation of a saw mill and planer mill, near Norway, at an estimated invest of $45,000, employing 16 men, which adds some $6,000 per month to the local payrolls, the operation being of the stud mill type, producing 2 x 4's, 2 x 3's, and 1 x 4's, from plywood cores. The Delah company gets its plywood cores from the Powers Veneer Corporation, Powers, and Norply Veneer Co., at Norway. The new operation has a capacity of 1,000,000 feet per month, and will step-up its operation as the occasion demands. The Delah company operates similar mills at Medford, according to Robert Tucker, manager of the planer mill operation. Jack Bewley is manager of the saw mill. The saw mill and planer started active operation this week." (Myrtle Point Herald)
