February 5, 1925: “After a lapse of several weeks, during which considerable repair work was done at the plant, The Pioneer Mill resumed operations Monday morning with a full crew, and practically all of the employes who were with the company when it shut down have been reengaged and a long season of work is before them. The company has on hand sufficient orders to necessitate cutting for a long period, many of its shipments being to eastern states. The resumption of work in the Pioneer Mill means much to Drain as several local men are employed there.” (The Drain Enterprise)
