September 16, 1924: "The new sawmill and logging equipment of A. L. Woodard, several miles above Cottage Grove, has been purchased by the Bohemia Lumber company, according to an announcement of J. S. Magladry, president of the company. Consideration was approximately $60,000.
Construction of the new mill will be completed at once. It will have a capacity of 4,000 feet.
More than 25,000,000 feet of timber in the vicinity of the mill has been purchased by the Bohemia company." (The News-Review)
