June 19, 1902: "Chas McCann has moved to the De Armond mill where he will log for awhile." (Weekly Rogue River Courier)
May 5, 1904: "D. R. Warner, who lives in the Roger's house on South Sixth street, while working in the DeArmond sawmill on Evans creek, had his left arm badly crushed Wednesday afternoon so that amputation above the elbow was necessary. He was endeavoring to put a belt on a revolving pulley, when his glove was caught pulling his arm under the belt. Mr. Warner has been a resident of Grants Pass about a year." (Rogue River Courier)
