May 16, 1935: "Formation of the Greensprings Lumber company, to operate a sawmill one mile this side of Lincoln, on the Ashland highway, has been undertaken by Rudy Jacobs, Jesse Bradley and Jack Goldsberry. The firm is filing articles of incorporation at Salem.
The mill, known as the McDonald and Pickett property, has been put in shape for operation, and it is understood the firm has 5,000,000 feet of pine, fir and cedar to cut.
They will have a sawing capacity of more than 30,000 feet an eight-hour shift. The plant was last operated in 1929.
The mill and timber are in Jackson county.
The three men interested are well-known residents of Klamath Falls. Both Klamath Falls and Ashland will be shipping points for the operation." (The Klamath News)
