J. R. STRAUSS
Clackamas County - Pleasant Home
January 6, 1900: "J. R. Strauss will move his sawmill in a few days one mile south of its present location, where he will have a very fine and large body of timber. He has cut all the timber that will make lumber where it now stands, and he is compelled to move to another place. There is talk of another sawmill coming into the neighborhood to cut out more railway ties." (Morning Oregonian)
November 30, 1906: "P. Magnolia, of Dover, is working for Strauss Lumber Co." (Beaver State Herald)
