Reedsport
June 16, 1941: "The site on which the Bridge Lumber company is to build a new sawmill in the near future is being cleared of brush, and necessary surveying done. The bucket dredge owned and operated by Harry Marks of Reedsport will be moved to the site this week and dredging done to even up the river banks and to make room for log storage.
According to company officials, the port dock will be used for water shipments of lumber at first until a company dock can be constructed. A rail spur will be built to the mill site." (The World)
