October 24, 1912: “The Alder Creek Lumber Co. has shipped three carloads of railroad ties during the past week from near Canyonville, loading from their local yard on the S. P. sidetrack.” (Riddle Tribune)

January 23, 1913: “The Alder Creek Lumber company has closed down its mill for a time in order to get the lumber that has already been cut out of the way. Wet roads have made hauling to the yards at Riddle slow work and there is little room about the mill that is not already utilized for piling lumber.” (Riddle Tribune)
