July 20, 1920: "Earl Hamaker is a city visitor from the Parker and Hamaker sawmill in Swan Lake valley." (The Evening Herald)
August 2., 1920: "The boiler at the Parker-Hamaker mill at Swan Lake blew up Friday due it is believed to a defect in the boiler. The explosion came from underneath and consequently saved the men from being burned or the mill from being damaged.
The mill is one of the new ones in the Swan Lake district and has not been operating very long. Mr. Parker has gone to Seattle after a new boiler, and the damage will be repaired as soon as possible." (The Evening Herald)

November 12, 1920: "The Parker-Hamaker lumber company have filed a suit against W. O. Johnson for alleged nonpayment of a bill of $1780 representing both cash and goods furnished to him in the contracting business the past summer. C. F. Stone and W. A. Weist are attorneys for the plaintiff.
The complaint sets forth that the plaintiff furnished goods and cash at the request of the defendant, said goods consisting of coal, gasoline, auto repairs, one team of horses valued at $250, 432 meals for men employed by the defendant, $422.20 cash advanced and sundry other items. Interest at 6 % is asked from Oct. 21." (The Evening Herald)
