October 12, 1928: "Bear Creek Logging company have been purchasing lumber from the Bruns-McIntyre company, Sandy, for iniatiative work, and hope to have the camp ready for logging by January. The new camp will be two miles farther back, H. A. Robb is in charge of construction." (Clackamas County News)
January 25, 1929: "Practically all work at the mills and camps has closed down during the cold weather. Despite the snow, work on cabins at the Bear Creek Logging company has started and the plant will likely be operating again in two months." (Clackamas County News)
