June 24, 1920: "Rhodes & Cotteral are rebuilding a mill of 40,000 feet capacity on the the old site on the south fork of Evans creek." The old mill was purchased and removed by Fabrick & Welch to Phoenix. (Ashland Daily Tidings)
July 1920: "Rhodes & Cotteral, Gold Hill, have increased the capacity of their mill on Evans Creek, 26 miles from Medford, to 30,000 feet daily. The output has been sold to the Big Pines Lumber Co., Medford." (The Timberman)
