October 11, 1912: "Property of the St. Helens Lumber Company. The finest mill on the Columbia River, turning out lumber products at the rate of over 200,000 feet per day and shipping over 5,000,000 feet per month to other parts of the United States and foreign ports." (The Oregon Mist)
November 9, 1920: "Three lumber mills in this section owned by the Charles R. McCormick interests have just complete consolidation under the name of St. Helens Lumber company. The aggregate capacity of the three is 315,000 feet per eight hour shift. All are running at full capacity at the present time." (The Evening Herald)
August 18, 1923: "St. Helens.----Work has been started by the St. Helens Lumber company on the extension of its dock. The new addition will extend 24 feet along the entire length of the dock, about 900 feet, and will provide storage space for more than 1,000,000 feet of lumber." (The Advocate)
