April 6, 1905: "The Dubois Lumber Company loaded a car of lumber this week for Portland." (The Estacada News)
May 4, 1905: "The latest mill to begin doing business near town is the Dubois Lumber Company's plant one and a half mile west of town. This company has just completed its plant though it has already filled a few orders. Power is furnished by a 100 horse power engine, and the mill can turn out from 10,000 to 35,000 feet of lumber a day. Over 4,000,000 feet of lumber is on hand belonging to the company, and most of it is a superior grade of timber from which the best grades of flooring and finishing material are made. The mill is equipped to turn out all kinds of finished lumber. A flume about three quarters of a mile in length to float lumber has been built to a convenient loading place on the new county road. The company has a contract to furnish 10,000 ties to the Southern Pacific Railway Company. A contract has just been let for 3,000,000 feet of logs. Mr. C. E. Dubois is general manager of the business." (The Estacada News)

May 25, 1905: "The Debois Lumber Company of Estacada has placed an ad in the News. This company's mill is located in a body of fine timber one and a half mile west of town. The logs are nearly all on land owned by the company. The mill is turning out from 10,000 to 35,000 feet a day and the planer and moulder is kept busy working up finished material. C. E. Dubois, manager of the company, reports business good, and a growing demand for high grade lumber of which he makes a specialty in fir and cedar." (The Estacada News)
June 1, 1905: "Tuesday the Dubois Lumber company shipped a car of lumber to the Gresham planing mill." (The Estacada News)
August 24, 1905: "Ad" "SIDEWALK LUMBER The Dubois Lumber Co. has sidewalk lumber surfaced on 3 sides, 6, 8, 10 and 12 feet long, uncut $9 a thousand, cut in any length $9.75 a thousand. Leave orders with W. A. Jones." (The Estacada News)
October 26, 1905: "C. E. Dubois returned home Monday from Portland. He is putting in a donkey engine at his saw mill plant across the river to snake the logs down to the mill. Just as soon as this is ready to work, the mill will start up again. The mill will be better prepared than ever to get out lumber. Place your orders now." (The Estacada News)
November 30, 1905: "A visit to the Dubois Lumber Company's plant a mile or so west of town is worth while. This is one of the most complete and well-constructed mills in the country. The donkey engines which were recently purchased to get the logs to the mill with are working fine, and enable the company to get their better grade of timber to the mill. An excellent quality of lumber is being turned out every day." (The Estacada News)
February 15, 1906: "The Dubois Lumber Company loaded a car Saturday containing nearly six hundred railroad ties." (The Estacada News)
August 16, 1906: "While at work on the logging road, Tuesday, at the Dubois Lumber Company's mill. Lorenzo Hammock cut the joint tendons and arteries above the heel in one of his feet. The wound was a bad one. He was brought to Estacada, and had the foot dressed. Later he was taken to a hospital in Portland." (The Estacada News)
